Afternoon, I’m Melly!
Here’s a little gist on my background with this blog. I come from a place where all my friend went to pursue more practical and financially stable careers. Because my colleagues would only see every 3-4months, they would leave me messages such as:
ARE YOU ALIVE?! OMG YOU’RE BACK FROM THE DEAD
I’ve never blogged routinely before (aside from photoblogging), but I decided to get it a try to show the buddies back home that I am taking steps of progress in what I hope is the right direction.
Of course there are things that I can’t update this blog with thanks to NDAs and release dates, so I started posting quotes and other fun stuff to keep myself motivated.
At the start this was a small personal blog for me and my 6 followers, then one day I read “50 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Date a Graphic Designer.” I thought the post was hilarious and was inspired to write one for photographers.
“50 Reasons Not to Date A Photographer” blew up my little blog, and if you’re still reading this now that article is probably the reason why you’re here.
So what lies in the future for the Not A Starving Artist blog? It started off as a place for me to motivate myself and keep my friends in the loop of things. I want to maintain these elements in addition to expanding it to a place where other hungry artists can find motivation and inspiration… and let’s see where it goes from there.
